Marvellous chunky handmade jumper featuring long sleeves, crew neckline and relaxed, oversized cut. This unique vintage treasure presents a gorgeous mélange wool with a soft oatmeal-toned base and multicoloured yarn that almost looks like beautiful sprinkles or confetti! As shown in picture 8, the tag reports the words “Realizzato con i Filati Valentino” (eng. “Made with Valentino Yarns”), which upon further research could be explained as follows: the jumper might have been produced by Filatura di Crosa, a renowned brand from northern Italy founded in 1939 and specialized in high-quality production of fine wool and yarns.
Starting from the 70’s Filatura di Crosa started collaborating with top Italian luxury brands and fashion houses such as Missoni, Valentino and Versace, providing them with exclusive branded yarns. The jumper that you can see here is probably the result of a collaboration between Filatura di Crosa and Valentino, who co-branded and created this valuable and one-of-a-kind fashion piece, born from the love for the highest quality that is typical of old-style Italian brands.
