1953 Gucci Horsebit Loafers
1953 Gucci Horsebit Loafers
Iconic and timeless black leather loafers as part of the 1953 collection and with the 60th anniversary tag. In 1953 Gucci created a loafer entirely inspired by the equestrian lifestyle so beloved of its founder Aldo Gucci. The result was the iconic Horsebit shoe we know today: a simple leather loafer embellished with a metal horse bit. The loafers are made out of a resistant and incredibly high quality leather and feature a preppy-inspired look. The shoes have been recently resoled ( only the sole, not the heel, as it was already in good conditions) by a professional leather specialist and Italian artisan, who also took care of cleaning and polishing the shoe inside and out. The piece is in great conditions but please note that slight signs of wear are present (see pictures) that do not affect the funcionality of the shoe in any way. Having been purchased by a private seller, the shoes do not come with the original packaging or proof of purchase so the price has been set accordingly.
